For their spring performance, Ball State’s Opera Theatre program will present The Marriage of Figaro.
The Marriage of Figaro is set over a single "day of madness" (la folle journée) — Figaro’s wedding day. The curtain rises on Figaro and bride-to-be Susanna in the new room that their boss and the master of the house, the Count, has given them. Susanna reveals that the only reason the Count has made such a generous gift is to keep her nearby because he wants her for himself. Hijinks ensue, and Susanna, Figaro, and the Countess must find a way to stop the plotting Count.
